The brandy is destilled in November and December. However, not every household has its own still. Average of 10-15 households one owns a still.

Варене на сливова ракияThe duration of the brandy distilation from one still of mash lasts about 5-6 hours. If you distil brandy continuously throughout the day, you can process approximately 4-5 stills. Many do so because it saves time and wood - the fireplace isalready warm. Every household distiles average 50-60, sometimes over 100 stills of brandy.

For medium-sized still (130 to 150 liters) and at average production (for 10 liters mash you get 1 liter brandy), a nice 40°-45° brandy is obtained from 13 to 15 liters of those stills.
