Ingredients
Plums - 70 pieces Sugar - 1 kg. Citric acid - 1 tsp geranium - 3-4 leaves wallnuts or almonds - 70 pieces
Preparation Peel the washed plums and immediately place them in cold water so as not to tarnish. Remove the stones. Fruits are placed to stay in lime water (3 liters of water - 1 tea cup strained precipitated lime) for 1 hour. Boil syrup from the sugar and 2 tea cups of water until it thickens and remove from fire. Plums are taken out from the lime water and washed carefully and thoroughly with water. Drain the plums and put them into the syrup. The jam is boiled at high temperature until thickening. When it begins to thicken, reduce the temperature, add the geranium, and just before removing from fire, add citric acid.
The jam will be even more delicious if you put a nut in each fruit before placing the plums in the syrup. |
