Community Centre “Nauka1870, Troyan, is the oldest cultural institution in Troyan, which even today has a significant presence in the town’s public life with a rich and versatile activity that provides opportunities for community creativity, self-education, contact with national and world culture, that way preserving and promoting the history, spirituality and culture of Troyan.

Traditional activities in the community centre:

    • Library;
    • Amateur Theatre Company;
    • Music School with teaching in piano, accordion, flute, guitar;
    • Vocal Studio "Smile" with four age bands;
    • Studios "Voices";
    • School of Fine Arts;
    • Folklore ensemble "Trayana" with three age bands;
    • Women's Chamber Choir;

ТроянThe literary authors from the Troyan are united in the Association of Troyan  Writers, the jokers form the Society of Wise-Crackers And Jokers, and the amateur photographers are a part of the In Focus Photo Club. All three formations are a part of the Community Centre and get its support for their activities.

      The community centre provides a base for visiting theatre, operetta and opera performances, and concerts. It organizes meetings with writers and presentations of authors and thus makes the town’s cultural life diverse and rich.

      Last but not least, is the library’s participation in the preparation and implementation of important events, celebrations and the holiday calendar of the town and the villages of the municipality.НЧ „Наука -1870 г.”  гр. Троян

      The community centre is benificiary and training base in the Project "Global Libraries – Bulgaria" for the municipalities of Apriltsi and Troyan, partner to Municipality Troyan in the implementation of the Project "Bulgarian Plum Festival", which is realized with the financial support of Operational  Program "Regional Development" 2007-2013 co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
