In today’s third day of Bulgarian Plum Festival guests and citizens of Troyan witnessed old and traditional demonstrations. Every one of us could get familiar classic ways for distil brandy and check it how it’s done. Also we had the chance to watch preparing plum jam. Tasting was obligatory and everyone tried was satisfied.
We saw how a brandy distillery looked like back in the past in the “Museum of Folk Crafts and Applied Arts”. Studios and workshops were again crowded. During the day smiled girl entertained the audience with funny games on the stage. For fans of electronic music a concert started at 19pm with special guest DJ Lizemah. |
In this beautiful and sunny day the official opening ceremony of the Bulgarian Plum Festival took place. This joyful day, filled with excitement we looked on several of traditional workshops and performances on the stage. The participants in the yearly parade took good care to keep the merry mood of guests and citizens of Troyan.
Meanwhile with holiday decorations and mood all of the craftsmen and workshops entertained the audience with interesting demonstrations. At the end of the evening the ceremony ended with stunning concert of orchestra “Karandila” and didn’t stop playing till late in the night. |
Although Grandma Winter to remind for its recent arrival, this fact did not stop everyone in Troyan and the district to go outside and support the lovely choirs “Planinski zvuci” and folklore ensemble “Traqna”. They marked the unofficial opening of the annual anniversary event Bulgarian Plum Festival. Slightly disappointed for the programme being only a couple of hours, the audience expected the next day and the chance to have fun with the official opening. Everyone enjoyed in front of the municipality till late night |
