Details regarding culinary competitions and competitions for best plum brandy Dear chefs and masters of plum brandy,

There are still a few days left until the culinary competitions – the delicious part of Bulgarian Plum Festival! We want to clarify the following key points:

1. The deadline for applying is until 17pm on 28.09.2012
2. The deadline for providing samples for tasting is till 10am on 29.09.2012
3. The place for submission samples will be clearly marked on the square in front of the municipality
4. Samples’ quantity for tasting is minimum 500gr
5. The arrangement of the samples could be chosen by the contestant
6. The dishes will be judged by a specially selected jury
7. All participating dishes and desserts will be photographed and published in the web page of the festival: www.festivalnaslivata.com

Prizes will be divided into two categories, and each one into another two sub-categories, as follows:

For Professionals:

1. First prize for main dish: from 200.00 cash prize leva
2. First prize for dessert: a cash prize of 100.00 leva 

For Amateurs:

1. First prize for main dish: "Diva" Hotel *** Chiflik - 2 nights + 2 snacks
2. First prize for dessert: Hotel "Sima" *** - 2 nights + 2 breakfasts + 2 dinners for two

Culinary competition for best appetizer:

Competition for Master of best Troyan plum brandy:

1. The deadline for applying is until 17pm on 28.09.2012
2. Each participant must provide minimum 3 kinds of brandy made at home
3. The deadline for providing samples for tasting is till 10am on 29.09.2012
4. Samples shall be submitted in preliminarily numbered and provided by the municipality bottles

If the participant submits the sample in his own bottle before the competition the drink will be transfused into a competition numbered bottle.
The place for submission of samples will be marked clearly on the square in front of the municipality.
The quantity of samples to taste is minimum one liter.
Drinks will be judged by a specially selected jury.
